Giving Back

GIVING BACK TO WESTINGHOUSE HIGH SCHOOL!!!

There are lots of ways to give back, and we have listed a few ways for alumni and community members to consider when they GIVE BACK.

  • Purchase WHS4EVER Bulldog trademark gear
  • Attend a WHS academic, performing arts or sporting event
  • Full House occurs in February of each year and features one WHS graduate in each classroom for 45 minutes. Students lead school tours, and you can create your own WHS Stories audio tape.
  • Donate a book to the library authored by a Westinghouse graduate, about the school itself, or about a Black Achiever
  • Post information about the school and its alumni on your social media platforms
  • Provide space for WHS4EVER to sell gear to alumni and community members
  • Attend your class reunion and its activities
  • Join a small group of folks and create a book scholarship for a senior attending a postsecondary institution
  • Organize visits by Black Achievers
  • Participate in band and choral performing groups
  • Mentor a Westinghouse Academy student in conjunction with the WHS4EVER Mentor Partnership
  • Participate in a WHS4EVER fundraiser:
    • Raffle — $10 per ticket with a $1,000 prize (November and December)
    • Golf Outing (September)
